Don’t you hate it when a teacher workday catches you off-guard and becomes an impromptu bring-your-kid-to-work day? Fortunately, lots of camps in our area offer single-day camps aligned with local schools’ teacher workdays. Now’s the time to review your school calendar and fill those gaps with fun camps.
In addition to allowing you to work in peace, sending your kid to a teacher workday camp is a great chance to try something new! It’s way less of a commitment than a weeklong summer camp, so you kiddo can dabble in something different and see if it clicks.
We’ve rounded up 7 Triangle-area teacher workday camps to get you started. 1. The Art of S.T.E.M.

The Art of S.T.E.M. offers camp on teacher workdays for Wake County traditional schedule schools, as well as track out camp for year-round tracks. Educator-run activities include art, drama, and STEM explorations aimed at inspiring innovation through engaging hands-on learning experiences. The Art of S.T.E.M. operates year-round and will post dates and open up registration for 2026 camps soon.
2. Craft Habit Youth Camp

Craft Habit offers teacher workday camps covering breaks in the Wake County traditional school schedule. Each single-day craft camp features a different craft project that can be completed in 4 hours, offering campers the opportunity to learn a variety of techniques suitable for young hands such as tie dye, jewelry making, paper mache, hand sewing, metal stamping, weaving, macrame, glass etching, paper crafts, soap making, painting crafts, pom-poms, embroidery, shrinky dinks, cement casting, and more. Registration is available through the end of 2025, including for winter break camp.
3. The Tumble Gym

The Tumble Gym is an indoor gymnastics space for younger children that offers year-round day camps at their North Raleigh and Wake Forest locations. With a philosophy of “nurturing the child before the skill,” camp programming focuses on encouraging kids to laugh, learn, and grow in a safe and fun environment supported by caring instructors. Online registration is available through Memorial Day 2026 for their North Raleigh location and the fall of 2025 for their Wake Forest location. The Tumble Gym also has a Lake Boone Trail location that does not currently offer year-round day camps.
4. eNeRGy Kidz

eNeRGy Kidz offers high-energy teacher workday camps aligned with Wake County’s traditional school calendar. Campers are grouped by age to ensure everyone can fully and safely engage with activities such as gymnastics, tumbling, performing arts, camp games, and more. Registration is open for teacher workdays in the 2025/26 school year.
5. Wake Forest Ninja Academy

Wake Forest Ninja Academy offers physically active year-round day camp. Campers build strength, agility, and self-confidence while having fun exploring ninja obstacles. Each day of camp includes a high-energy mix of structured obstacle circuits, free play, competitions, and races. Registration is available through the start of January 2026.
6. Say It Kids!

Say It Kids! Studio Camp is a new creative camp led by experienced artists and educators at the Say it With Glass studio in Carrboro. It features a blend of creativity, problem solving, tinkering, outdoor walking field trips, and, of course, plenty of make-and-take crafts! Say It Kids! follows the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools district calendar for teacher workdays. During the summer, they offer both full-week and day-pass camp options for when you just need a break! Scholarships are available for qualifying families.
7. Belle Vie Farm

Belle Vie Farm offers teacher workday camp on days aligned with Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, plus other days if they get enough interest. Camp is held on a 34-acre farm and forest with access to 1,800 square feet of indoor creative space. Campers cultivate a love of nature with plenty of farm and forest activities, enjoy thrills on a 75-foot zipline, dirt slide, and climbing web, and let their creativity blossom in the art studio and makerspace. Registration is open for teacher workdays in the 2025/26 school year.
