Burning Coal Theatre Summer Conservatory

Burning Coal Theatre Summer Conservatory

by Burning Coal Theatre Company
Ages 12+

Burning Coal Theatre’s Summer Theatre Conservatory offers an intensive theatrical experience for teens interested in professional theater training. Over the course of three weeks, participants train with seasoned artists and educators in morning master classes that cover acting techniques, movement, voice, and other essential skills. Afternoons are devoted to rehearsing a full production, giving every student the chance to apply what they’ve learned in a supportive, ensemble-focused environment. The program culminates in two public performances, ensuring each camper experiences the excitement and responsibility of sharing their work on stage. No prior theatrical experience is required, and every participant is guaranteed a role. Those interested in technical theater are also welcome, with opportunities in design, stage management, and directing. The program emphasizes collaboration, discipline, and creativity, while fostering friendships in a supportive “theater family.”
