At YMCA Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer, campers experience life on the water and on land in a way that inspires confidence, character, and connection. Set on over 700 acres along the Neuse River, the camps offer an unmatched setting for sailing, powerboating, swimming, and exploring the outdoors. Days are filled with hands-on skill building and exciting challenges—whether it’s climbing a high ropes course, learning to navigate a boat, aiming for the bullseye at archery, or discovering nature along the shoreline.
Campers live in cabin groups that foster community, friendship, and teamwork. With a focus on personal growth, every camper sets goals, earns ranks in activities, and is encouraged to try something new. Whether on the tennis court, fishing dock, or soccer field, each moment is a chance to grow stronger, braver, and more independent.
Staff and counselors cultivate an atmosphere where doing the right thing feels natural and technology takes a back seat, allowing real friendships and face-to-face conversations to take the lead as campers build their skills and grow into their best selves.
