iWalk the Eno

by Eno River Association

iWalk the Eno Science & Nature Camp transforms the outdoors into a living classroom where curiosity leads the way. Set against the backdrop of Eno River State Park, each day invites campers to explore forests, fields, and streams while uncovering the scientific, cultural, and historical stories of the land. Campers build skills in observation, inquiry, and environmental awareness as they splash in the river, hike wooded trails, and engage in hands-on science experiments designed to spark wonder. Guided by experienced teacher-leaders and supported by enthusiastic mentors, campers work in small groups that encourage collaboration, friendship, and confidence. Days are filled with discovery-based activities, including nature journaling, arts and crafts inspired by the environment, and guided explorations that highlight local wildlife and ecosystems. The camp’s philosophy emphasizes respect—for one another, for the natural world, and for the process of learning itself. By encouraging kids to ask questions, investigate, and think like scientists, iWalk the Eno nurtures both curiosity and independence. At the end of the session, families join a special celebration where campers proudly take part in a Junior Ranger ceremony, marking their growth as young stewards of the environment.
