Museum Camp

by Musuem of Life and Science

The Museum of Life and Science, one of the Triangle’s most treasured family destinations, brings curiosity to life with a robust camp program each summer and schools out camps throughout the year. With a healthy mix of structured activities and the freedom to play, campers build new skills, friendships, and confidence as they connect science, nature, and imagination. At the Museum Camp, held at the main Museum of Life and Science campus, campers can climb and play in Hideaway Woods, investigate animal behavior in Explore the Wild, dig into geology at Earth Moves, or create their own projects that tie science to everyday life. Guided by expert educators, campers participate in group challenges and independent projects that reflect their interests and the camp theme of the week. Museum exhibits and natural spaces become living classrooms, encouraging campers to ask questions, test ideas, and share discoveries. Whether they’re coding in Minecraft, making nature-inspired art, or tracking footprints outdoors, campers experience the thrill of learning by doing.
